There will be an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 8, and an artists’ talk at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26.
Kordula Coleman deftly negotiates beauty and grief, instinct and intellect in her sculptures, which in this exhibition focus on human-animal interactions. Linda Seebauer Hansen also works in sculpture, but with a more abstract sensibility. Her textural painted surfaces, in juxtaposition with attached sculptural elements, delve into ideas of art, home, the conceptual, and the representational. Both artists take their understanding of craft in directions that are enlightening.
