The Twin Cities bike boom is spreading into the winter months. And that’s further spurring the endless consternation of some motorists, the ones who think it’s bad enough to have to put up with bicyclists when it’s warm out. When parking lanes crust up and there’s no reasonable way for bikers to veer away from cars, you can feel the steam building between the ears of that pickup driver who didn’t get four-wheel drive just to creep along behind some yahoo on a Schwinn. You better believe that bird will come flying out as the truck thunders past. But that’s OK: He’s just jealous of your indoor parking and reduced risk of heart disease.
